Erne Speakers Club is a member of Toastmasters International which, since 1924 has helped millions people worldwide to become more confident in front of an audience. At Erne Speakers Club our members learn to develop their speaking skills in a supportive environment where everyone is enouraged to overcome their fears of speaking in public.

At each meeting of Erne Speakers Club two or three members are given the opportunity to deliver a short speech. The topic for the speech is chosen by the speaker. Each speech is evaluated to provide feedback on what was good and what could be improved. This helps the speaker to improve and develop their skills with each speech they make.

Everyone in the club is supported to build their confidence and develop their speaking skills. Each member receives a practical guide on how to become a better speaker with information on how to organise a speech, use your voice effectively and include visual aids. Members also have access to a wide range of publications and other resources on speaking and leadership as well as receiving The Toastmaster, a monthly magazine with the latest insights on speaking and leadership techniques.

Anyone can attend the club, everyone needs good communication skills whether for work or personal reasons and Erne Speakers Club is an enjoyable way of improving your confidence and gaining skills.

Q. When are your meetings held?

A.We meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.
Each meeting begins at 7.45pm promptly and lasts for about 2 hours.

guest to meet members, ask questions and get a feel for what we do!
